This November, hundreds of delegates will meet in Rochdale, the birthplace of the modern cooperative movement to celebrate the centenary year of the Co-operative College, UK.
Taking place from the 26 -28 November 2019 at Rochdale’s iconic Town Hall, the three day landmark event will explore how cooperative education can challenge inequalities, empower individuals and pose radical solutions to some of society’s biggest challenges.
The conference will have five plenary sessions, seven keynote addresses, twelve workshops, and a book launch. The speakers will include Professor Esther Gicheru from Co-operative University of Kenya and Professor Sonia Novkovic from Saint Mary’s University, Canada. They will be joined by Mr. Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Greater Manchester and Ms. Angela Rayner MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Education. There will also be an award ceremony to celebrate the illustrious history of the College and an inaugural gala dinner.
